Refund policy

Change of Mind Returns

WA Split Systems offers a 30-day refund policy for eligible air conditioning systems purchased from us where the customer has changed their mind.

To be eligible for a change of mind refund:

  • The return request must be made within 30 days of the purchase date.
  • The system must be new, unused, uninstalled and uncommissioned.
  • The indoor unit, outdoor unit, controllers, accessories, manuals and supplied components must be returned complete and undamaged.
  • The system must be returned in its original packaging, with packaging in a condition suitable for transport and resale.
  • Proof of purchase must be provided.

A system will not qualify for a change of mind refund if it has been installed, connected, commissioned, used, damaged, altered, or is missing components or original packaging.

Return Freight

For approved change of mind returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying all freight costs to return the system to the nominated WA Split Systems store or warehouse.

WA Split Systems is not responsible for loss or damage occurring during return transport arranged by the customer. We recommend that customers use a tracked and insured freight service suitable for transporting air conditioning equipment.

Inspection and Refund Processing

All returned systems will be inspected before a refund is approved. Once the system has been confirmed as eligible under this policy, WA Split Systems will process the refund using the original payment method.

Australian Consumer Law

This 30-day policy applies to change of mind returns only and does not limit or exclude any rights a customer may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a system is faulty, damaged, unsafe, not as described, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law. Different return freight responsibilities may apply for faulty products, including reimbursement of reasonable return costs where a fault is confirmed.
